Mole Hill

Mole Hill is the most significant example of Vancouver’s Victorian and Edwardian era domestic architecture. Thirty heritage-listed properties built between 1888-1908 provide a direct link to the earliest days of the City of Vancouver. In 2004 the houses were restored by Mole Hill Community Housing Society and now contain 170 social housing suites, a group home, three daycares and other community assets including a sister society providing community support. The parklike interior of the block (Jepson-Young Lane) has received numerous awards for landscape design, and the Society has been recognised as a leader in sustainable community development.
