Located in the heart of Saint John, the New Brunswick Black History Society shines a light on the powerful history, culture, and contributions of Black communities across the province. Through research, exhibits, and community collaboration, the Society works to preserve and share the stories of Black New Brunswickers—past and present.

Visitors can explore a range of meaningful and engaging experiences, including exhibits that highlight the legacy of early settlers, freedom seekers, and community leaders. Learn about the impact of the Underground Railroad and the history of Black Loyalists in New Brunswick, while interactive displays, photographs, and historical documents bring these stories to life. The Society also plays an important role in ongoing research and the preservation of historic Black burial sites and heritage landmarks.
