1. Even if the power goes out here in the bunker these rotary phones can be used! Many home phones during the Cold War just needed a phone line connection.
2. In North America, only 1.5% of the population had home fallout shelters. This is well below what pop culture told us at the time
3. The most powerful air raid siren built for the Cold War was 12 feet long, used a 180 horse power engine and could turn fog into rain.

The Hudson’s Bay Company Factor’s House is the second oldest fur trade building on its original site in Alberta!

The North West Company established Fort Dunvegan as a fur trading post in 1805 – 100 years before Alberta became a province!

Local legend, Henry “Twelve Foot” Davis set up an independent fur trade post in 1865 across the river from Fort Dunvegan.

The Peace River valley that Dunvegan is located in has the characteristics of two different climate zones – the south side of the valley is temperate with lots of trees and greenery, while the north side is arid with short grasses and cacti.
