To the Lighthouse #CanadianVisitList

Serving as beacons of not only navigation but also community and culture, Canada’s lighthouses symbolize the strength of a nation built between great bodies of water. My own experiences in lighthouse visiting are limited, but if I had the time and money to do so, I would have a field day taking a trip just to walk in circles around different lighthouses in Canadian provinces, whether they be small seaside towns (here’s looking at you, everywhere in Nova Scotia) or hidden areas in big cities. The mental image of a lighthouse beacon pointing out to sea is unlike any other, and sticks out as a distinct literal and figurative heritage marker.
