Forts of Western Canada #CanadianVisitList

The theme of this VisitList is Forts located in Western Canada. This VisitList focuses on Western Canada because Fort Dauphin Museums connections to Peter Fiddler. He was an explorer that mapped most of Western Canada and he often goes uncredited.

The Forts chosen for this list tend to focus more on the day to day life of people living in the Forts. Such as early settlers, pioneers and Indigenous Peoples.

Forts with an emphasize on their trading history were also chosen. Fort Dauphin Museum puts lots of focus onto our Fur Trade history and we wanted to connect ourselves with Museums with similar features.
